There are two JLAB teams divided by knowledge. The first is purely Academic and run by Cadet PVT Amarynth Ruch while the second is based on Leadership and knowledge regarding the military and is run by CSM Noah Easterly. The teams work together and separately to train for competitions.
JLAB Academic Team
The JROTC JLAB Academic Team studies the areas of Math, History, Science, and English. The tests are used to test academic knowledge and the ability to study. Last school year, the team attended the national competition in Washington D.C. after placing first in the region.

To be a part of this team, a cadet must know basic Algebra, United States History, Science, and English; all up to Pennsylvania's Common-Core Standards.

JLAB Leadership Team
The JROTC JLAB Leadership Team is where general leadership knowledge as well as JROTC learned leadership is tested. These tests are made to see how JROTC is improving upon it's foundations to teach leadership and discipline to cadets. These cadets also stand out among the rest for their outstanding leadership skills. Last school year the team placed third in the region.

The requirements to this team are slim; be in JROTC and pay attention in class. Being a good leader can come naturally, but who knows what JROTC will teach you in order to become a better leader.
