MEANING
The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps serves as a way to teach young students in high school to be good citizens and lead them in a better way through life using skills needed in the outside world.

To be in the Panther Valley Army JROTC is to live for the Panther Valley JROTC Battalion. A cadet may start out at the bottom of the totem poll as a mere Private, but this is a position that all upper level cadets have been in -including the Battalion Commander and the Command Sergeant Major. The methods of JROTC teach cadets to be on time and dedicate themselves to the team rather than the individual.
EVENTS
The Panther Valley JROTC is a part of many community events as well as our own. We participate in Parades, Flag Retirements and Flag Raisings. We have fully functioning Drill, Raider, and JLAB Teams. The Marksmanship Team has recently been reintegrated into the program.

If you would like to have us participate in an event, please feel free to contact us. Our information is located at the "Contact Us" Page to the right of the pages bar.
EDUCATION
In JROTC, students are taught the leadership skills needed in the outside world. No matter what position a person takes up in society, the ability to lead is an important aspect in allowing them to excell.
These skills are taught in a number of ways, such as giving leadership positions to the cadets in order to instill a sense of comradery and help build confidence.
